The last of the Angria dynasty, Yeshaji watched as the English fleet bombarded his family holdings near Bombay. He knew then that the age of piracy was dead. But when he saw Nemo’s Nautilus surface from the depths, he saw a new way to restore his family’s pride and power.

Timeline

Yeshaji is implied to be a descendant of the leadership of the defunct Barbary Corsairs. He had given up on a life of piracy until Nemo's Nautilus surfaced before him. Nemo granted Yeshaji the technology to build his own submarine, Devil Ray, said to be the fastest of the submarines. It is never made clear what became of the Angria family or Devil Ray.
